Today we bid Farewell to our honored and esteemed MAOSC Board Advisor, Zoe Trautman. The setting is befitting her, with a richness steeped in tradition and beauty: The Mount Vernon Inn. Thank goodness Zoe has a very contemporary side to her (she is a closet geek) --which means we will remain in "constant contact" with her through this Blog, as well as her tweets, text, email and chat!

Spotlight on our Women Vets: The Face of Grace

Our membership is primarily made up of women. We know how to support "our men" in uniform. Grace After Fire is a grassroots organization that supports the unique needs of "our women" that also fight for us.

This week, one from our membership has the privilege of taking this message to the White House Office of Public Engagement. Show your support of our female veterans by Blogging here or learning more: www.graceafterfire.org

Our women are fighting for us...let's join the fight for them.

A Post from Zoe re: Marine Family Cook Book

The "Family Cookbook: Recipes from Marines, Families and Friends" is now in its fourth printing in just one year! Gladys Rodriguez single handedly conceived the idea and saw it to fruition- and to date has given over $25,000 to the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund.
This is an amazing woman - an immigrant from Cuba who has no connection to the Marine Corps other than "a love and gratitude for this country that opened its arms to our family when we arrived in 1970.” We are so grateful that she is a part of our USMC family, now!!!

This is something that we can all get behind!

President's "Post" September 2010

Welcome to MAOSC!

The Marine Aviation Officers' Spouses' Club was founded in 1949 in the National Capitol Region as a social club to allow spouses from the aviation community to meet together and form new friendships and renew old acquaintances. The club has continued this tradition for the past 61 years and enjoys a history filled with memorable luncheons, volunteer opportunites, and friendships.
Check Spelling

If you are a part of the aviation community (aviators, ordinance, logisitics, etc), we invite you to join us. A membership form and calendar of events are posted on the website/blog.

We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the MAOSC family.

Sincerely,
Liz Barnes
MAOSC President
